Does Enterprise Accept Gift Cards?

We do not accept gift cards to secure a rental*. Payment is never required when making a reservation. Enterprise/Alamo/National accepts pre-paid gift cards with a Visa^®, Mastercard^® or Amex symbol as a form of payment at the end of a rental.*

Enterprise/Alamo/National does not issue gift cards and will never ask you for credit card or other payment information over the phone.

ALERT: Pre-Paid Gift Card Scam

Enterprise/Alamo/National does not issue or accept gift cards to secure a rental. Only Pre-paid gift cards with a Visa, Mastercard or Amex symbol will be accepted at the END of the rental for payment; NEVER required at reservation and payment information is NEVER requested over the phone.

Please be aware of these signs leading to potential fraud:

• Typically targets individuals searching for a phone number to book a car rental, or to extend an existing car rental, or to extend an existing car rental.
• Once the (fraudulent?) number is called, operator will prompt caller for detailed information about reservation or rental contract.
• The most common theme is the offer of a time-sensitive promotion that can be taken advantage ONLY with a pre-paid gift card or advance payment using a credit/debit card or web-based payment platform such as CashApp, Venmo, Zelle, etc.
• Operator will request gift card or deposit via app-based platforms such as Applepay, CashApp or similar to secure a rental.
• Email communication such as reservation confirmation or payment receipt is from generic email, potentially containing misspelled words.
  

TAKE ACTION

If you encounter any of these situations when you call to book your rental, please do not proceed and report the incident and phone numbers to your local police and/or file an online complaint with www.ic3.gov (Internet Crime Complaint Center.)
